Netflix has delighted Cobra Kai fans by releasing a video rendition of an AI-created Cobra Kai script featuring a silly version of the dojos motto.
Netflix gives fans a look at a ridiculous AI-created Cobra Kai script. Season 5 of the hit Netflix series wrapped earlier this month and proved that Cobra Kai remains as relevant as ever earning plenty of praise from fans. The Karate Kid sequel series takes place almost 40 years after the events of the original film featuring a host of legacy actors including Ralph Macchio (Daniel LaRusso) and William Zabka (Johnny Lawrence). Cobra Kai has made a point of bringing back another member of the franchise every season with the latest being The Karate Kid III antagonist Mike Barnes (Sean Kanan).
Though Cobra Kai offers plenty of unexpected twists and turns there are certain reliable story beats that viewers have come to expect in the show. Due to its role as a redemption story for Johnny who originally planned to resurrect the Cobra Kai dojo the series often features characters coming back from the dark side after being brainwashed by Cobra Kai. The show also often upgrades its villains as seen with the highly-anticipated return of Kreese (Martin Kove) who was then upstaged by Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith). Additionally the through-line of the entire series deals with the two conflicting approaches to karate - Cobra Kais aggression versus Miyagi-Dos more peaceful approach.
The fittingly named account Netflix is a Joke posted a video showcasing the hilarity of an AI-created Cobra Kai script which hits on plenty of the series more repetitive beats. According to the post the streamer worked with Keaton Patti and had a bot watch every episode of Cobra Kai before coming up with its own script. Complete with a ridiculous animation and deadpan narration the video is an absurdly accurate tribute to the legacy series. Check the video out below
The video provides an ridiculous recap of Cobra Kai thus far including a funny variation on the Cobra Kai dojos motto which is strike first strike hard no mercy. In the AI version of the script this mantra becomes strike first strike harp no merci with the voiceover pronouncing merci in hilarious fashion. The video also includes an amusing recreation of the All-Valley Tournament which includes referees fighting one another and all the dojos brawling it out. Even funnier than the video itself is the fact that its largely accurate as an encapsulation of Cobra Kai capturing the relationships between Johnny Robby (Tanner Buchanan) and Miguel (Xolo Maridueña) as well as Robby Miguel and Sam (Mary Mouser). Possibly the most humorous moment in the video is Johnny proclaiming that he will never get over the one thousand nine hundred and eighties which basically sums up the series.
Despite fans joking in the comments below the video that season 6 is coming along well the next season of Cobra Kai will obviously differ from the AI version of the show. Though Netflix has yet to renew the series its clear that Cobra Kai remains one of the streamers most beloved properties. The stars of the show have made it clear that theres more of the story to be told so perhaps Cobra Kai season 6 will be announced soon. Either way viewers hopefully wont have to wait long to see the Cobra Kai dojo strike harp once again.
