Danai Gurira gave a brief hint of what to expect from the Black Panther sequel and says it will honor his former main star. There is currently very little information known about Black Panther: Wakanda Forever but star Danai Gurira told fans to expect plenty of passion and a flow of love for Chadwick Boseman in the sequel. After the tragic death of Bozeman the fate of the Black Panther series was in flux for a while until it was determined exactly where the series would go without the lead. While no attempts have been made to replace Boseman in the role of TChalla its clear that there is an important legacy of the star and his character being carried over into the new film.

Black Panther was a huge success for Marvel Studios in 2018 even earning a Best Picture nomination at the Academy Awards and several other awards. Although Boseman is no longer here to reprise his role as TChalla the majority of the film crew will return to honor his legacy and continue the Black Panther story within the MCU. Rather than a sequel that might have been director Ryan Coogler and his team have worked on resetting the script and changing the films focus and while were still seeing exactly what shape the movie will take Gurira says fans of the franchise and Bosman will get the movie they deserve. Speaking while on the red carpet at the Met Gala she said:

It tells a heartwrenching story. And thats all I can say! We hope…it resonates with everyone as it does for us. Its all about Chadwick for all of us. Its all an outpouring of his love and honor.
Wakanda Forever Will Be The Last Marvel Movie Of 2022After being part of major Covid delays and subsequent roster changes Black Panther: Wakanda Forever heads to cinemas on November 11 and while theres no actual marketing for the film yet theres been a tiny amount of footage included in Disneys sizzle reel at CinemaCon Last week which means it might not be long before we see something from the new Black Panther installment.

Of course Marvel Studios never followed a set rule on when to release teasers and trailers as Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness saw the first trailer released in December as a postcredit scene on SpiderMan: No Ways house in contrast The ultrashort thriller Thor: Love and Thunder didnt arrive until two weeks ago ahead of the movies release in early July. Depending on that the Black Panther 2 trailer could land as early as June or as late as September.

So far thanks to the batch of photos and other small information coming from filming the Black Panther we know that Letitia Wrights Shuri will be one of the main players in the movie and will side with Okoye from Gurira and Lupita Nyongo Nakia against a new enemy who is rumored to be Namor Submariner from the MCU version of Atlantis. In addition Dominic Thorne will make her debut as Riri Williams before becoming Ironheart and the likes of Martin Freeman Angela Bassett and Winston Duke are all reprising their roles.
