Its a step into the 20th Century taking you to the front doors of the Highclere Castle in England or as fans know it Downton Abbey.

Complete with 35 original costumes worn by the case Brummer said the Durham is offering an immersive look into the show through the exhibit Dressing the Abbey.

The exhibit starts in the year 1912 when the show begins.

The sinking of the Titanic then we have several seasons where World War 1 is taking effect then we have the dawning of the Jazz Age Brummer said.

Downton Abbey super fans go through each time period as the year changes so do the clothes.

You see these Victorian dresses that were worn but then we see the shift to like the flapper dresses and the shorter dresses and shorter hair she said.

Brummer said its one of the most popular TV dramas it may be fictional but because of the versatile plot the show hooks both the historian and the binge-watcher.

That pop culture impact of what this show meant. But I think this show in particular because of its strong tie to the history in England Brummer said.
