Brooklyn Nine-Nine was considered by The Washington Post to be one of the funniest shows on television, and with the final season finishing its run on NBC in August 2021, Netflix subscribers are wondering if they can watch the complete series on the streaming service.

The comedy follows the exploits of the men and women who protect and serve out of the NYPD’s 99th percent. Brooklyn Nine-Nine focuses on Detective Jake Peralta (played by Andy Samberg) and his quirky colleagues, who are as lovable as they are hilarious and will undoubtedly entertain anyone willing to embark on a gut-busting Netflix binge session.

There are eight seasons of the hit series, and each one has an incredibly stellar Rotten Tomatoes score. Aside from Saturday Night Live alumnus Samberg, the cast includes Terry Crews, Stephanie Beatriz, Melissa Fumero, and Andre Braugher.

Unfortunately, the eighth season was also be the show’s last, as NBC has confirmed the series is winding down (after previously being cancelled by FOX). But will Netflix allow fans to watch it all over again?

Is Brooklyn Nine-Nine available on Netflix?

The hope of having Brooklyn Nine-Nine ready to stream on Netflix is a long shot. The show is not currently available to add to your Netflix watch list, and there’s no indication of whether or not it’ll ever come to the streaming service.

While this is a bummer for most subscribers, there are other great comedies available for Netflix viewers to check out instead. Kim’s Convenience, Space Force, Workin’ Moms, Arrested Development, The Crew, and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt are just some of the side-splitting series Netflix has within its existing library of content.

Where you can stream Brooklyn Nine-Nine

Brooklyn Nine-Nine is available for subscribers of Peacock. Additionally, the show is watchable on most video on demand (VOD) platforms, including Google Play, Apple TV, Vudu, and more—so there are plenty of places to check it out, just not Netflix.

The comedy had previously been available to stream on Hulu, per the streamer’s deal with NBC, but on Sept. 18, 2022, Brooklyn Nine-Nine will be leaving the Disney-owned streamer. A handful of other NBCUniversal-produced series will also be bidding Hulu farewell, as the company looks to stock up its own streamer, Peacock, will exclusive content.
