With the release of The Grand Tour A Scandi Flick viewers have been praising the show for bringing it back to the cars and for the much-loved chemistry between the hosts Jeremy Clarkson James May and Richard Hammond.

Headlines were flooded with the news of Mays crash which left him with a broken rib when it was leaked before the episodes release. May was quick to take to his social media to assure fans that he was alright and we can see from the Norway special that he was luckily able to carry on with filming.

Viewers saw the hosts introducing their chosen cars. Hammond with the Subaru Impreza WRX May with the Mitsubishi Evo 8 and Clarkson in the Audi RS4 B7. We saw straight away that Hammond and May were not happy with Clarksons choice as they felt it didnt fit the brief of being a rally car.

Talking about the crash May explained what fuelled him to ditch his Captain Slow persona

I think I did [brake] but I left it as late as possible because I was trying to win. I was getting bored with Clarkson droning on about how his Audi was better even though he cheated really because thats not a rally car. That is an Audi with some spin off from rallying –i.e. the four-wheel drive and so on –but what he basically turned up with was an executive saloon with a massive engine.

So I just thought Right I bet I can go faster than him even with my little engine. And in fact it was a draw in the end wasnt it? We both did 97.
