Ryan Reynolds mourns the end of Internet Explorer by reminiscing about the early days of his career when the web browser first debuted. Developed by Microsoft Internet Explorer launched in 1995 as one of the first web browsers. The program was included with Microsofts line of Windows operating systems making Internet Explorer one of the top names at the dawn of household internet usage. However since its debut Microsoft has developed a new browser Microsoft Edge which led the company to cease support for Internet Explorer on June 15.

Reynolds has seen his star rise over the last decade-plus with several high-profile films. Audiences will likely recognize him from the comic book-based megahits Deadpool and Deadpool 2. More recently Reynolds has made a splash on Netflix with films like Red Notice and The Adam Project. However fans of the actor have also come to know him for his comedic social media posts often in association with companies he owns a stake in or films hes promoting. And in true Reynolds fashion the end of Internet Explorer prompted a comedic response.

Reynolds took to Twitter to mourn the loss of Internet Explorer. He mentions an early role in a short-lived TV series Lonesome Dove The Outlaw Years which premiered its first and only season a few weeks after the debut of Internet Explorer. Reynolds remarks about the crazy years since stating he couldnt imagine it without the web browser before poking fun at the show. Check out Reynolds tweet below

Lonesome Dove The Outlaw Years a western TV series was a follow-up to the 1994 Lonesome Dove series neither of which made much of a pop-cultural impact and as Reynolds stated himself The show didnt deserve another season. While the actor wants Internet Explorer back many users may beg to differ as the web browser was said to often crash freeze and even have display issues. So while Reynolds may be mourning the end of an era its likely for the best.

Reynolds has carved out a stellar career since his humble beginnings on shows like Lonesome Dove The Outlaw Years. Recent hits like Free Guy have seen his unique brand of humor and comedic delivery continue to click with audiences and the future looks bright too. The actor has already promised an R-rated Deadpool 3 is coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While details on that project are still scarce he also has several other announced films like Dragons Lair and Clue. So while Internet Explorer wont be receiving further support Reynolds career looks to have plenty of viewers still anticipating what the actor does next.
